rock de perkkkkk
We played rock the park last night, which was pretty incredible. The load in was insane (we had to carry amps, drums etc up three flights of stairs and across an entire park!) but after we drank a couple of beers and cooled down the night got great. It was really cool to be able to play a show that families could go to. Hopefully we didn’t corrupt any of the children with our shenanigans.
post sxsw blues
Well, we made it back from SXSW in once piece! In five pieces? ….moving on
So there are a billion things that could be said about how awesome Austin is, how much fun we had, how much beer we drank etc etc but I think one of the highlights had to be meeting Kelly from Vice Magazine. She interviewed us (aka drank beer with us and played a drawing game because we SUCK at interviews) and it was pretty much a fantastic time. Check this shit! http://www.vice.com/read/a-two-second-interview-with-the-sleepy-vikings

February mini-tour!
Greetings, friends! It’s been awhile since our last update & we have quite a few new things to share with you. HOWEVER, we don’t want to overwhelm you with everything at once sooooooo we’ll share all of the news in tiny pieces. First up is our February mini-tour with our friends & labelmates The Pauses. We’ll be playing Atlanta on February 3rd w/ Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun and then hitting Charleston, South Carolina w/ Sleepy Eye Giant. Both of these bands are incredibly talented and also impressively nice, funny & all-around great. If you live in either Atlanta or Charleston you should come out and bring every friend you’ve ever made.
Next up will be some exciting SXSW-related news, but for tonight we’ll leave you with the first google image result under “Atlanta Charleston kitten”
